NCDA Jazz Choir Festival

Register using the Jazz Festival Registration form by January 31st.

The Nebraska Choral Directors Association will host its sixth annual Jazz Choir Festival on March 15-16, 2009.

The festival is open to all jazz choirs at the high school or collegiate level. Its purpose is to foster a non-competitive, positive, and supportive learning environment for jazz groups of all skill levels.

College Groups - Sunday and Monday, March 15-16

High School Groups - Monday, March 16

Each group will receive:

•    A 30-minute performance and critique by one of our outstanding clinicians. (Plan on performing no more than 15 of your 30 minutes on stage).

•    A video recording of your performance and clinic.

•    Breakout sessions during the day on various vocal jazz techniques.

•    Mixer activities.

•    Special performances by our guest college groups.

•    One final performance in the “Parade of Choirs.”

•    A compact disc containing all of the groups performing their best song.
